Welcome to Nevada State Cybersecurity (NSCS) at Nevada State University!

Nevada State Cybersecurity (NSCS) supports the growth of a diverse community of adult learners through innovative, engaging experiences, and professional certifications that promote the acquisition of interdisciplinary knowledge and skills to enhance academic, personal, professional career success while meeting the needs of tomorrow’s information technology workforce.

Nevada State Cybersecurity offers a holistic educational approach through workforce development, student success, and community support to prepare workers for industry-recognized IT certification tests. Participants of this program will demonstrate content mastery by earning competency-based Nevada State College-verified digital badges that can be added to a digital resume or portfolio and will receive recognition through certificates that demonstrate their training for each completed section of the program.

NSCS extends fundamental technical knowledge to populations historically underrepresented within IT driven disciplines and encourages individuals to confidently and successfully navigate their path to information technology (IT) careers. A first of its kind in Southern Nevada, our comprehensive program will provide professional training and technical certificates to students as an effective solution to meet growing employer needs for certified IT professionals in the workforce.
